  7.    IBM PS/2 MODEL 50Z-031, 061

  9.       The PS/2 Model 50Z comes standard with a 1MB module in the system
  10.       board's only memory socket, and is expandable to 2MB by replacing the
  11.       1MB module with a 2MB module. System memory can be further expanded
  12.       by adding an Above Board MC.
  13.  
  14.       The SIMM connector is located under the hard drive, therefore some
  15.       disassembly is required.

  40.       Installing into the IBM PS/2 50Z
  41.       1.  Turn off system power.
  42.       2.  Remove Floppy(s) - lift tab at center bottom of the floppy and
  43.           pull it forward.
  44.       3.  Remove Floppy interface card.  Some systems may have a retaining
  45.           clip holding the card to the plastic chassis.  In these systems,
  46.           the card can  be removed with the chassis.
  47.       4.  Remove the hard disk - depress the two plastic retaining levers
  48.           and slide the drive out of the connector.
  49.       5.  Remove the hard disk interface card.
  50.       6.  Unsnap and remove fan assembly.
  51.       7.  Unplug speaker wire.
  52.       8.  Unsnap 7 plastic retaining snaps and remove plastic chassis.
  53.       9.  Install the SIMM per instructions and reassemble system.

  55.    IBM PS/2 MODEL 55LS
  56.  
  57.       The PS/2 Model 55LS comes standard with 4MB memory (a 4MB module in
  58.       memory socket 1 on the system board). The system is expandable to 8MB
  59.       on the system board and to 16MB by adding an Above Board MC in an
  60.       expansion slot.
